Importance of Ayurveda

आयुः कामयमानेन धर्मार्थसुखसाधनम् ।
आयुर्वेदोपदेशेषु विधेयः परमादरः ॥२॥

English: One who desires a long life—as the means for attaining righteousness, prosperity and happiness—should have the highest regard for the teachings of Ayurveda.
